MK BUSINESS FLYER – A FLYAWAY SUCCESS

MK Business Flyer is part of the MK Flyers group, owned by Claire Robinson.

In 2006 Claire developed the concept of an advertising magazine to promote local companies to local people with her first publication based on the established town of Newport Pagnell . The NP Flyer quickly became popular with local businesses and soon Claire was ready to launch a second Flyer, this time dedicated to Stony Stratford.

Now there are five separate editions of Your Local Flyer distributed monthly to 23,000 homes around Milton Keynes , connecting prospective purchasers with reliable, local suppliers.

Plans are already in hand to create even more editions so if you don't have a local Flyer yet, you probably soon will have!

Now there is the MK Business Flyer too, dedicated to increasing business between local companies. Why look outside the area when there is already a highly skilled and reputable supplier on your doorstep.

How has all this been achieved in such a short space of time?

Claire says: “Networking has really helped my business profile and getting to know people. It is daunting at first but if you keep throwing yourself out of your comfort zone, you soon forget where it is! I must admit I feel very comfortable networking now and still attend a numerous amount of networking events, weekly and monthly.

“I really enjoy my work and think Milton Keynes is a fantastic place to set up in business. One of my proudest moments was when MK Flyers was nominated for an award at the Chamber of Commerce awards in November 2007. This was quite an achievement after only being here for a year and a half.”
